Starve the System Day

On April 15th, 2026 — Tax Day — we do not protest.
We do not riot.
We do not scream into the void.

We disconnect.

For one day, we cut the system off from what feeds it:
our attention, our money, our labor, our compliance.

Not to collapse it.
Not to harm each other.
But to demonstrate something far more important to those in power:

Unity.

Because if we cannot show them — and more importantly show ourselves — that we can stand together for just one single day (to start), then nothing will change. There will never be accountability for the crimes against humanity being uncovered in the Epstein files, we will never get corporations out of our elections and Capitol Hill and we will never see politicians stop using their positions for money, power and control.

Life Lately

It’s been a little over two weeks since my last newsletter.

Life has been chaotic. Beautiful. Full.

We’re still adjusting to life with a newborn. Getting out the door late. Forgetting things. Rushing a little more than we used to. Making sure he has everything he needs. And honestly? We’re doing great.

Business is moving. Sales calls for GoBundance Emerge. My Forged Fitness group coaching. One-on-one clients. Training for the SSG Kyle McKee Memorial Ruck on May 16th. Jiu-jitsu. Workouts. Helping neighbors. Trying to find five quiet minutes to just breathe.

Money is flowing. Our minimal debt is being paid down. And more importantly — clarity is increasing.

I’ve never been more clear that everything I’m building is about freedom. Not just financial freedom. Lifestyle freedom. Spiritual freedom. Freedom from dependence.

Yesterday I went down a rabbit hole watching a video about regenerative ponds — full ecosystems that filter themselves, produce fish, support gardens, require almost no maintenance. Bluegill. Tilapia. Duck eggs. Real food. Real water. Real life.

Water has always grounded me. I grew up on the beaches of the Atlantic. I’ve always dreamed of having a creek or pond on my own land. Not just for peace but for food.

The ability to feed my family without walking into a fluorescent-lit grocery store.

To trade with a neighbor. Barter for beef. Grow. Source. Build.

And yes — stick it to the system in the process.

Because starving the system is not just about one day. Not for me.

It’s about a lifestyle pivot.

Less dependence.
More connection.
Less convenience.
More intention.

This day is just the spark.

What I’m Calling For

One day.

If you are not a first responder, emergency worker, or in a role where someone’s life literally depends on you — no work.

No school (unless you homeschool).
No spending.
No social media.
No TV.
No unnecessary phone use.
No gas.
If possible, turn off the power.

Light a fire. Sit outside. Share stories. Be bored. Be present.

And use common sense.

If someone dies because you don’t show up to work — show up. This is not recklessness. This is intelligent defiance.

Maybe you can’t do all of it. Do some of it.

Because here’s the reality: they see unity through data.

Millions inactive on social media.
Millions not spending.
Millions not consuming.
Millions not participating.

That shows up.

That’s measurable.

That says: we are communicating. We are aligned. We are not divided.

Where This Came From

The greatest threat to any centralized system isn’t opposition.

It’s independence.

It’s people who don’t rely on it.

At one point it was Native Americans — labeled savages because they refused to adopt Western systems and were brutalized and starved into submission.

Then it was the hippies — reject the schools, reject the food, reject the war machine, deepen consciousness — labeled dirty, lazy, dangerous.

Holistic healers. The Amish. Homeschoolers. Van lifers. Anyone who chooses simplicity over compliance.

Throughout history, people who opt out are mocked, attacked, regulated, or erased.

Because if enough people disconnect — peacefully — the grip weakens. Changes would have to be made. Changes that impact the bottom lines and influence of massive corporations and politicians.

This isn’t new.

What’s new is the scale.

Why Now

We are moving toward something.

Not immediate collapse. Not chaos tomorrow.

But a tightening.

A normalization of increased surveillance and control.
Digital IDs.
Cashless control.
More monitoring.
More dependence.

Call it dramatic if you want.

But centralized power does not voluntarily decentralize itself.

At some point, if we don’t demonstrate boundaries, if we do not stop feeding the system with what it needs to survive, complacency becomes permission.

This is not a violent threat.

It is a nonviolent show of power.

The people at the top — regardless of party — speak one language: money.

Money equals power.
Power equals control.
Control equals more money.

We live in an attention economy.

Our attention is currency.
Our spending is currency.
Our labor is currency.

Remove it all for one day — together — and it registers immediately.

Why Not Just Protest?

I want to be clear here. I am all for protesting. If you feel empowered to protest, do it.  We have all seen it done effectively at points in our history and around the world. But right now I am seeing some issues.

I’ve seen protests being scheduled.

Different dates. No clear leadership. No unified vision.

Fragmented outrage changes nothing.

Emotionally charged crowds without structure often damage the very cause they’re trying to defend.

Starve the System Day is the precursor.

Before we march anywhere, we prove we can align.

We prove we can set aside red vs. blue.
Left vs. right.
Black vs. white.
Gay vs. straight.

None of that matters if the core system remains captured.

And yes — accountability at the highest levels matters.

No one above the law.
No more immunity for those in power.
No more corporate capture.
No more politicians enriching themselves while the people struggle.

This is about rooting out corruption at its foundation.

Not emotionally.
Not violently.
But deliberately.

Questions/Comments/Concerns I’ve Received

“One day won’t do anything.”
Maybe not immediately. But movements start somewhere. Asking for a week or a month right now is unrealistic. One day is doable. Again, this is a show of unity. That’s where it all starts.

“You’ll never get enough people to participate?”

Ya know, maybe not. But I have to try. And I want you to picture this. The news the next day reporting on the data. Reporting on the unity. Imagine that feeling.

“Why April 15th?”
Because it’s Tax Day. A reminder that they exist because we fund them.

“Why not sooner?”
Movements require time to spread. This isn’t impulsive. It’s intentional.

“People rely on the system.”
Yes. Which is why this is one day. The goal is not collapse. The goal is demonstration to influence change.

“I can’t afford to miss work.”
I understand that. Truly. But ask yourself — what is the long-term cost of doing nothing? Slow erosion. Increased control. Less freedom for you. Your children. Their children.

Maybe you can’t take the day off. But you can participate in some of the other things suggested to hit their radar.

“If it works, what next?”
Then we talk about accountability. Transparency. Consequences. Symbolic justice that restores trust. This is a process that needs to be taken one step at a time.

“If it doesn’t?”
Then fractured movements unify. Peacefully. Intentionally. With leadership and clarity. We take all of these in person protests - No Kings, March for Justice, Protect The Children and we get them working together.

What This Really Is

This is not about destroying the country.

It’s about reclaiming it.

DC still stands. The structure remains.

But the people remind those inside it who holds the real power.

For me, this isn’t symbolic.

I am building a life with less dependence on centralized systems.

Sourcing my own food.
Homeschooling my children.
Reducing debt.
Living below my means.
Eventually eliminating the smartphone.
Building income from land and community.

Because real change does not start in Washington.

It starts in how we live.

One day of unity.

Then a lifetime of intentional independence.

Stand with me. Stand with each other.

April 15th, 2026. Let’s stand united.

Thanks for reading,
Kyle

Song of the Week

You can stand me up at the gates of hell, but I won’t back down.

That’s the energy.

Not rage.
Not panic.
Resolve.

We don’t scream.
We don’t beg.
We stand.

And we don’t back down.
